Spanning three generations, Soklich & Co. has long been a cherished fixture in Perth, fulfilling dreams one creation at a time. Its story is one of curiosity, prosperity and excellence – one that continues to inspire. “Our journey began in 1965 when the Soklich family discovered gemstones in the Western Australian Outback. In 1966 they purchased The Great Australian Amethyst Mine, later expanding into a large gemstone cutting and jewellery business in Thailand for more than two decades,” Soklich explains. Today, their flagship boutique in South Perth stands as a testament to that legacy – a place where craftsmanship and creativity converge. Featuring on-site designers and a fully operational workshop, the boutique specialises in bespoke jewellery, meticulously handcrafted to tell each client’s unique story.

After more than five years in the making, Soklich & Co.’s new flagship showroom stands as a true labour of love, nestled within the iconic Old Post Office building in South Perth’s civic precinct. This treasured heritage site required meticulous planning and unwavering attention to detail to meet all preservation requirements, with Soklich & Co. seamlessly restoring its original charm while elevating it with modern elegance.
“The location is deeply rooted in the community and restoring it to house our flagship boutique felt like the perfect way to honour our past while embracing the future,” says Soklich. The result is a space that blends history, beauty and functionality, welcoming couples into an environment that is both inspiring and deeply personal. Every element in the showroom tells a story, with soaring ceilings, elegant archways and original architraves offering a rich architectural backdrop. These historic features are harmoniously paired with a contemporary design, including a circular central counter, white marble finishes and sophisticated black and-gold accents. The fusion of old-world charm with modern luxury creates an atmosphere that is both grand and intimate.

A wide selection of ring collections awaits, from timeless diamond solitaires to vibrant engagement rings featuring rare coloured gemstones. With more than 500 wedding band styles, all customisable to reflect each couple’s unique love story, Soklich & Co.’s new showroom offers a truly unforgettable start to any romantic journey.

As Soklich & Co. look into the future, its newly unveiled showroom represents just a small stepping stone into an exciting new era for the brand. With the workshop proudly visible from the street, visitors are treated to a firsthand glimpse into the team’s craftsmanship. The showroom itself is designed as an immersive space, featuring interactive booths and educational displays that invite exploration. “The open layout encourages easy exploration of our collections, while private design booths allow for focused, personalised consultations,” Soklich details. “It’s a space where couples can slow down, browse at their own pace, and truly enjoy the experience.”
Educational viewing booths guide visitors through the intricacies of the 4Cs of diamonds, while a more tactile, story-driven approach is taken for coloured gemstones with pieces directly brought from the vault for clients to experience up close. For those seeking custom designs, Soklich & Co. warmly encourage it, beginning with relaxed consultations often over tea, coffee or champagne. Clients are also welcome to bring inspiration images to help shape their vision, and discussions cover everything from meaningful design elements and metal choices to practical considerations like budget. They are also invited to collaborate with the head jeweller to craft their own wedding bands in the workshop.
Since opening, the showroom has received overwhelmingly positive feedback, with clients praising the atmosphere’s privacy and attentive service. In response, the team has adapted the space to better meet client needs – adding climate blinds and extending curtains in the private viewing areas, ensuring a more intimate and personalised experience.
